An exhibition of paintings by Kent artist Judith Turton.

This exhibition is a result of a year's painting celebrating the Kent countryside - documenting the changing colours and patterns of the seasons and month by month changes in predominate colours.

The paintings derive their source from frequent walks in the countryside, woods and cliff tops in Kent.
All the works in this exhibition are acrylic on canvas.

About the artist:

Originally from Cambridge, but since graduating from KIAD in the 1980's I have lived and worked in Kent. Concentrating mainly on painting - with occasional ventures into mosaics, fused glass and stained glass.

My influences include the artist Hamish Fulton - who describes himself as a 'walking artist' - the Land artist/sculptor Andy Goldworthy and the painter Vincent van Gogh amongst others.

I have exhibited in London as an associate member of the Royal Society of Painters, Sculptors & Printmakers - and on many occasions in galleries in Kent and the south of England including:

The Space Frame Gallery, Gillingham
The Beaney Institute, Canterbury
Salisbury & S.Wilts museum
Ramsgate as part of the IOTA group of artists
Birchington
Margate
Sandwich
